Enjoy a delicious full course Shabbat dinner on March 23, 2012 prepared by our catering committee and help support the synagogue … from the KI Kitchen to your home. Deadline to order is Sunday, March 18. The dinner packages can be picked up on Thursday, March 22, 2012 between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 23, 2012 between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM from the Kneseth Israel Kitchen. Chef Steve Lebowitz provides a very interesting and informative overview of the menu.
The delicious menu for each individual order includes: · Challah prepared by Ilanit Evers · Cioppino Freddo A small chilled salad of fresh wild caught fish fillets gently stewed in fennel scented fish stock with white wine, carrots, onion, and tomato. · Zuppa di Lentiche e Riso - Lentils and white rice simmered in chicken stock with aromatic vegetables. Drizzled with Olive Pier extra virgin olive oil, garnished with sea salt and celery leaves. · Rapini con Aglio Arrosto - Emerald green blanched rapini sauteed in Olive Pier extra virgin olive oil with roasted garlic cloves and a touch of crushed red pepper. Choice of entrees prepared by Chef Steve Lebowitz: · Chicken Cacciatore - Chicken braised in red wine with tomatoes, red and yellow bell peppers, caramelized onions, carrots, celery . ………………… $18 per serving · Beef Cheek Gnocchi al Farno - Beef slowly braised with carrots, caramelized onions, red wine and tomatoes become a hearty sauce. Baked with house made potato gnocchi (we don't really use beef cheeks!) .........$22 per serving · Pesce alla Livornese - Fresh wild white fish, mesquite grilled, served at room temperature over tomatoes stewed with garlic, olives, and capers. ……………..$22 per serving · Gourmet Dessert prepared by Leah Prichep |
