Unsung Heroes of our Synagogue

President Lore Singerman presents Dr. Bruce Friedman and Mr. Earl Diamond with awards at the 2003 Annual Meeting on January 26.  Bruce Friedman has taken on the responsibility of organizing minyans for congregants who are observing yahrzeits, spending several hours each week making phone calls, and attending minyans regularly.  Earl Diamond, the electronics maven at Kneseth Israel, has unselfishly devoted many hours each week helping with the synagogue computers, maintaining the yahrzeit database, sending yahrzeit notices in the mail, lighting the yahrzeit lamps in the sanctuary, and tending to electronic maintenance needs in the synagogue.
