Video of Rev. Henoch Hammer from 1985  Taken by Mark Goldberg (Spectrum Productions), this is a brief video of the beloved Cantor (Rev.) Henoch Hammer, who educated Jews in Annapolis for four decades.  The video is from a wedding in Baltimore.

BBC Report on Annapolis Middle East Peace Summit November 2007

In November 2007, the city of Annapolis was the center of world attention for a day as a one-day Middle East Peace Summit was held at the United States Naval Academy.  This report from the BBC included a feature of Congregation Kneseth Israel and Rabbi Moshe Weisblum.

Purim 2008/5768

A lively crowd assembled at Congregation Kneseth Israel for the reading of the Megillah Esther on Purim on Thursday evening, March 20.  Although not on the video, there were delicious hamentaschen and entertaining skits that took place after the Purim services ended.

Goldstein Family Torah Dedication

Sunday, October 19, 2008, the synagogue celebrated a new Torah donated by Jeffrey P. & Roberta Goldstein.  The final letters of the Torah were written on the scroll, and members proudly paraded on the grounds of the synagogue.

Chanukah Talent Show and Dinner 2008/5769

Over 200 people celebrated the first night of Chanukah, which included entertainment from members of the shul, a community lighting of the menorah, and a delicious meal.

 

Remembering our Matriarch, Rebbitzen Esther Rosenblatt z'l who died on October 15, 2009.  There is a photo slideshow and a video, courtesy of Mark Goldberg and Spectrum Productions.  Esther and her husband Rabbi Morris D. Rosenblatt came to Annapolis in 1945.  After his tragic death in 1985, Rebbitzen Rosenblatt continued to play  vibrant and important role in our synagogue as a mentor, advisor, and dear friend to all.
