"Kamp Kef"
Join us this summer! Our educational camps will offer six themed weeks of fun activities for children ages 3-6. Camps will be offered Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Children are invited to participate in one or all of our weekly camps. Discounts will be offered for early registration, siblings, and members of Congregation Kneseth Israel*. Camp details are included below. All are welcome! "Kef" is Hebrew for fun, which this camp will most assuredly provide for the children that attend. For more information, please contact Gail Dehn (443-994-6550). Garden Week -- July 6-10, 2015
Children will learn basic gardening concepts through play, stories, and crafts. Each camper will create a garden box which will be tended to during camp. At the end of the week, each camper will take home their garden box to share and enjoy with their family. Materials will be provided. Please bring a bagged lunch. $225
Pirate Week -- July 13-17, 2015
Ahoy, matey! Our young pirates will learn about adventuring the high seas through play, stories, music, and activities designed with pirate life in mind. The week will conclude with a Pirate Adventure on the Chesapeake. Materials will be provided. Please bring a bagged lunch. $225
Zoo Week -- July 20-24, 2015
Enjoy the view at our camp zoo! Campers will learn about life at the zoo through stories, music and movement, and crafts. Sensory boxes will be created to provide hands-on learning opportunities for little hands to safely experience various animal habitats found around the world. The week will conclude with a field trip to the National Zoo (chaperones may be needed, and are always welcome). Materials will be provided. Please bring a bagged lunch. $225
Cooking Week -- July 27-31, 2015
Campers will explore the fundamentals of cooking through play, stories, and crafts. Activities will highlight healthy choices, kitchen science, and the joys of creating food to share. Simple Kosher recipes will be prepared and enjoyed by the campers and staff. Materials will be provided. Please bring a bagged lunch. $225
Farm Week -- August 3-7, 2015
Campers will learn about life on the farm through a variety of activities, stories, songs, and crafts. Campers will work together to create a farm mural using different media to highlight various farm environments. The week will conclude with a field trip to a local farm (chaperones may be needed, and are always welcome). Materials will be provided. Please bring a bagged lunch. $225
Water Week -- August 10-14, 2015
Cool off with us! Campers can let loose with water-themed activities and a variety of games, crafts, and stories. The week will include art projects and simple science experiments that bring to life the wonders of water. The week will conclude with a field trip to the North Arundel Swim Center (chaperones may be needed, and are always welcome). Materials will be provided. Please bring a bagged lunch, a change of clothes, and a towel. $225

*A registration fee of $25 per camper will be assessed for processing, materials, and a Kamp Kef t-shirt. Discounts will be offered to KI congregation members and sibling registrations. In the event of multiple eligible discounts, only the greater will apply.
